ABOUT US

Karmic Action Retribution Management Agency (KARMA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit  that promotes public empowerment through education. We aim to support grassroots organizations that focus on communities most affected by economic disparities, healthcare inequities and systemic inequality.

The name Karmic Action Retribution Management Agency is a play on words to make the acronym K.A.R.M.A. by a the founder of the non-profit and longest continuously volunteering member of Bici Libre Raymundo Veitia. Ray loved witty phrases. He said at Bici Libre you can get your bike fixed quickly, inexpensive and have it done right, but not all three.

The word Karma is a complex idea rooted in Hinduism and Buddhism. A basic definition of karma is the sum of a person’s actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future or future existence.

Every action a person takes has an effect, so every action is a karmic action for good or bad, and each action will have an effect on the future.

Retribution is punishments or vengeance for a wrong. Our nonprofit is not here for punishment or vengeance, but we are here for people righting their wrongs.

We are here for those who have court mandate community service and are looking for and agency that can manage their service hours in a way that feels like a good karmic action.

K.A.R.M.A manages several projects that make small changes in people’s lives for the better and we aim to make big changes for a better future.
